Fuelled Up for Migration?

Every Autumn, the Red Admiral migrates to southern Europe before returning to Denmark in Spring. Before setting off on this long journey, it needs plenty of energy and loves feeding on the sugar found in overripe fallen fruit during late Summer. If you'd like to give Red Admirals a good headstart, leave a few apples, plums, or other sweet, overripe fruits on the lawn so they can refuel.
